Welcome Back
The past year and a half might feel like being underground for 17 years, but finally we are going to get back to dancing. Let’s hope we can remember some of the steps.
We will hold our first dance since March 2020 on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Some things remain the same. Others will be a little different.
We still will be dancing at Lincolnia Center with lessons from 6-7 p.m. and open dancing from 7-9:30 p.m. For the time being, as a little bonus for new people, the admission fee will be $10 for everyone instead of different fees for members and non-members. We will figure out how to handle membership status and dues at a later date.
We have to follow Fairfax County’s Covid-19 requirements while dancing at Lincolnia, which means everyone needs to wear a mask while not eating or drinking. (The mask requirement might be relaxed as the situation evolves. We will keep you posted.) Please respect the wishes of other dancers as far as social distancing or not, according to their comfort levels. If you are feeling under the weather, please don’t risk coming to a dance: stay home and be safe.
Also, during the pandemic, unfortunately we don’t think a communal table where we share food and drinks is advisable. We know the food was a big attraction, and the munchies definitely will be missed. If you bring refreshments for yourself, please clean up before you leave the dance.
We have suspended our customary fall and winter special events.
Dust off your dancing shoes and come out to dance!
